Iranian short film ‘Breathing’ wins Indian award

Iranian short ‘Breathing’ has won an award at the 2018 edition of the Lifft India | Filmotsav-World Cine Fest.

Directed by Farshid Ayyoubinejad, the Iranian title won the award for Best Short Film – International/Foreign at the Indian event.

‘Breathing’ tells the story of several workers who work in a stone factory and are forced to hide in a dark room every time the insurance agent visits the factory.

Breathing has so far succeeded to grab award for Best Direction and Best Film at the 21st edition of Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Vila-real in Spain and the award for best short film at the Human Rights International Film Festival in Italy.

The 2018 Lifft India | Filmotsav-World Cine Fest was held from on December 6-10.
